The Regional Dairy Cooperative (OSM) in Koło was established 90 years ago, in 1930. We are now among the biggest milk processing establishments in Poland and leading exporters with a very strong position in milk powder and butter production. We do business as a cooperative with exclusively Polish capital. We combine dairy production tradition, modern manufacturing technologies and top quality products. The OSM in Koło employs over 700 people in the headquarters in Koło and the company’s subsidiaries in Grodków, Ostrów Wielkopolski and Konin.
The products offered by the OSM in Koło have made a name for themselves on the domestic and foreign markets. They are available predominantly in large retail chains as well as corner shops. Milk powder is our flagship exported product sold in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa.
The philosophy of the Regional Dairy Cooperative in Koło is best reflected in its slogan: Taste, Health, Ecology. Taste because all our products boast excellent flavour, nutritious and dietary properties. Health because they are made from milk from cows fed in a natural way, in clean surroundings. We care for the natural environment as best demonstrated by construction of our own sewage treatment plant and a gas and oil operated boiler room as well as a launch of products in environmental packaging.
For nearly a century, the products offered by the Regional Dairy Cooperative in Koło have enjoyed the consumers’ recognition. Consequently, they have been awarded in numerous trade and consumer contests, including Poznaj Dobrą Żywność and TERAZ POLSKA. The products have also received medals at numerous fair events (including Polagra Food and Mleko Expo). The top quality of our products is further confirmed by the Quality and Food Safety Management System implemented and certified according to the BRC standard and ISO 22000 standard.
The company continues installation of modern process lines and increases milk collection as well as year-to-year exports. This bodes well for the development of the Regional Dairy Cooperative in Koło for many years to come while the company is about to start the second century of operation.
